Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School!
Our theme this year is “Guided by Faith, Committed to Excellence” – words that we feel are appropriate for our school! The “Book Bash” was very successful with a record number of students attending, and on Monday, August 11 we opened our doors to 110 students in grades 9-12, with our freshmen class being the largest in the school’s history – 38 students. We are thrilled that 41 new families have joined MDCHS this year and welcome them!
We are also pleased to announce the new faculty/staff members for the 2008-2009 school year. They are: Rob McMaken (History/Gov/Econ), Michael Shouse (Theology), Julia Nasworthy (Administrative Assistant) and Suzanne Montgomery (Public Relations Director). Please join me in making them feel welcome at MDCHS.
This year we plan to communicate weekly with an on-line newsletter entitled “Ram Ramblings.” This will be a one page document providing parents with important information about the “happenings” at Monsignor Donovan. We hope you will find it informative and helpful!! Our plan is to send it out electronically in the next few weeks once we have updated our parent email list.
We are also making some minor changes to the Parent-Student handbook and hope to have that to you soon. Thank you for your patience!
If at anytime you need any assistance or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. Again thank you for your continued support and we ask for your prayers each day.
May God Bless you and your family!
Mrs. Bankston
Principal
