Giving to Monsignor Donovan
Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School depends on the Generous support it receives from parents, friends, alumni, faculty, and area businesses.
Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School depends on the private support it receives from parents, friends, and area businesses. Did you know the annual operating budget of the School is over $1 million? While tuition and fees is our largest single revenue source, we look to parents, faculty, friends, alumni, and area businesses to help make up that difference with their charitable gifts.
Many donors have made generous pledges in the past and we are very thankful for those gifts and pledges, as we would not be here without them! Pledge commitments (open pledges) to Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School represent an important revenue source that allows us to plan for the future.
We also depend on the Donovan Annual Fund. It is our sincere hope that everyone with a stake at Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School—from parents to faculty to alumni to community friends—will participate with a gift to the school every year. Gifts to Donovan High School received between July 1 and June 30 will count toward the Donovan Annual Fund for that school year.
“Mardi Gras at Donovan,” our annual fundraising event, offers additional ways to give to Donovan. Volunteers give of their time and many talents to host this event every February to raise both funds and awareness for Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School. Please check the school calendar for more information about volunteer meetings, sponsorship programs, or ticket sales.

The Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program
Through our partnership with Georgia GOAL, any Georgia taxpayer may take advantage of a new Georgia law that allows you to “redirect” a portion of your tax dollars to Georgia GOAL which can be made available to qualifying incoming Donovan students in the form of need-based tuition assistance. Married couples can receive up to $2,500, singles up to $1,000, and C-corporations up to 75% of their estimated tax liability in the form of a Georgia tax credit. In addition, the donation may also be taken as a charitable deduction on your federal return. Contact Patrick Yuran at firstname.lastname@example.org or 706-433-0223 telephone ext. 229 for more information on the simple process to make scholarships available to deserving Donovan students. In large and small ways, donors to Donovan High School help with our everyday needs. Occasionally, donors purchase new items directly for the benefit of the school or donate gently used items (sports equipment, for example). Furthermore, some give of their expertise or time in ways that have cash value. We wish to keep accurate records of these donations and encourage you to complete a gift-in-kind form which allows us to give you gift credit where appropriate.
Matching Gifts from Employers
Donors also may want to ask their employers about its matching gift program. These programs match the amount of the donor’s gift, often doubling or even tripling an individual's donation. Simply turn in your matching gift form to MDCHS (usually provided by the employer’s human resources officer) with your gift and we will take care of the rest!
